She also has experience with technical sales over last 3 year with multi-national corporations in traditional industries and advanced computing. She has received over 20 innovation awards and has been named Corporate Knights Top 30 Under 30 in Sustainability, Clean Top 50 Emerging Leaders and MIT Technology Review Top Innovators Under 35.

Paola Mejia

Paola is a final year Ph.D. candidate at the Machine Learning for Education lab at EPFL in Switzerland, where she conducts research at the intersection of computer science and learning sciences under Professor Tanja Käser. Her work focuses on self-regulated learning (SRL) in online and blended environments, tackling three core areas: understanding student behavior, empowering teachers with data-driven insights, and delivering personalized educational interventions. Driven by a mission to make education accessible and equitable, she co-founded Scholé, an EdTech platform that leverages generative AI to provide personalized upskilling resources for adult learners in the workforce.

Regula Bleuler

Regula Bleuler is the Managing Director of the Swiss Startup Association, where she plays a key role in advancing the startup landscape in Switzerland. With a strong background in innovation transfer and a deep understanding of the Swiss startup ecosystem, she is dedicated to fostering the growth of pioneering companies. Her diverse career includes significant experience in business development, community development, and marketing communications within the medical and sports sectors. She has worked with organizations and companies such as the AO Foundation, Formula 1, Yas Marina Circuit Abu Dhabi, FIFA and Shell, collaborating with major brands like Ferrari. Regula is known for her strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, and ability to drive growth in complex environments.

Jana Essebier

Jana Essebier

Jana Essebier specialises in banking and finance law. She regularly advises Swiss and foreign financial market participants on regulatory law and insolvency and restructuring as well as on litigious matters. One focus of her work is FinTech innovations, such as crowdfunding, mobile payment and blockchain, as well as providing legal advice to start-ups. In addition, she advises both financial market participants and investors on derivatives, structured products and other financial instruments. Her experience working in-house at a large international bank has proven invaluable to her clients. Jana is recognized by the Regulatory Board of the SIX Swiss Exchange as representative of issuers. In addition to her activities as an attorney, Jana publishes and speaks regularly on current regulatory issues as well as being an active lecturer in banking and capital market law at EXPERTsuisse.

Guillem Martínez Roura

Guillem Martínez Roura

Guillem is the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Programme Officer at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations specialized agency for ICTs. His mission is to connect AI and robotics innovators with problem owners to collectively advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
With over a decade of experience in robotics, Guillem has participated in major international robotics tournaments across Asia, Europe, and North America. He co-founded and led ROBOCAT, a leading non-profit educational robotics competition, for over 8 years, engaging thousands of young students. This initiative fosters learning in robotics and coding among youth from diverse backgrounds, irrespective of their gender, socio-economic status, or academic ability.

Georg M. V. Olowson

Georg Olowson is IBM´s AI Governance Leader for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Georg has specialized in AI for 6 years and is building AI partnerships with leading companies in the market. Besides his professional pursuits, Georg is active in preserving heritage and is a passionate dancer.

Eugen Stamm

Eugen Stamm

Eugen Stamm has over 15 years of experience writing about investment topics and has worked for Neue Zürcher Zeitung. He joined Verve Ventures as a writer in 2018 and actively promotes Verve Ventures' portfolio companies through his work. Eugen has invested in and supported several startups in various capacities, including as a board member. He has published a book about family governance and is writing a second book about the next generation of wealthy families. He has a Master of Law from the University of Zurich.

Enrique Gude

Enrique Gude

Enrique Gude is a political economist with a keen interest in the intersection of finance, innovation, and policy. He holds degrees from the University of Lausanne and the London School of Economics. With experience in both the public and private sectors, Enrique has worked on EU financial services policy in Brussels and on bilateral trade in financial services between Switzerland and the UK at the Swiss Federal Department of Finance in Bern. He currently focuses on innovation in financial services at the Economic Promotion unit of the Canton of Zurich.
